Good but not fantastic. Apple, pear, citrus, almond. Better with the homemade guacamole with pomegranate and not as good with the apple salsa nor with the grape leaves.
Maybe try with spicy Thai or Indian next time?

Wednesday Wine Education #3; 8/19/2020-8/20/2020 (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): Presented alongside a Clendenen Tocai Friulano out of Santa Maria Valley. Quite different even though both are 13.5% abv. The Italian version has much more bright apple, pear, and citrus fruit, a higher acidity, minerality, and more structural balance. About 2/3rds of the class preferred this over the Clendenen.

Not quite as rich or complex as the recent Schippetto I had. But for $10 off Winebid, pretty good score. 7 months lees aging provides some depth to the vibrant acidity.
