  • I don't drink wines from Alsace all that often but whenever I do I always seem to kick myself for not drinking more. Medium gold in the glass. On the nose this comes across quite subtle and restrained, with some nice apricot and honeysuckle notes along with pear, grapefruit and minerally citrus peel. The palate is much broader with rich, grippy texture, medium to full body and lovely acidity through the long, sappy finish. There's plenty of depth in the rich stone fruit, floral notes and nutty, almond flavours. Just the merest hint of sweetness coming through. This is deceptively powerful and just entering its prime window. Lovely.

  • Medium lemon with vibrant yellow hues, nose leads with light perfumes and citrus blossom, palate is pronounced with riper fruits, quince, pear, tangerine, melon, medium + body nice round mouthfeel, long finish with hints of agave nectar, medium acidity, high alcohol. Very nice, real sense of place.
