An Expansive Tasting at Hugel (Riquewihr, France): Yellow. Butter and grilled apple. Medium to lighter weight. Off dry. Nice texture imparted by discrete oak, excellent acidity, and more soil than fruit, which makes this far more interesting than most Alsatian Pinot Gris I’ve tried. Surprisingly excellent.
