Thursday hangout at Domaine (Chicago, IL): Others seemed to like this more than me (but that's almost always the case with Dauvissat). Heavy botrytis and mushroom notes, on top of a mature chardonnay base. Slightly oily texture but some archetypal chablisien minerality behind it. Too advanced (but not premoxed) for my taste.

Time to try this again, can't resist some good chablis.
Colour - Becoming golden, definetely becoming darker, more alluring.
Nose - Lovely stone white fruits mixed with citrus and some minerals.
Taste - This is really hitting its peak now, has that focus of acidity but with some lovely richness and tertiary flavours now starting to make themselves clearer. Apple, lemon, some tropical fruits and that mineral streak, very enjoyable.
Has another good 2-4 years in it.

Light nose, slight mineral. Big on-rush of acidity. Grapefruit with a limestone core. Tasty, but a bit harsh overall. Needs time. Warm-up wine to Thanksgiving dinner.

I hadn't popped one of these for a while, tasted with moules mariniere starter and herby roasted chicken, roasted potatoes & parsnips. Glass - Ikea, white wine, non-crystal ;-) Colour - Pale gold with some tears Nose - hhhmmm apple, lemon rind, touch of pineapple Taste - Fruity, lemon/lime with some steelyness (word?) , lovely lingering finish for the dosh, acidity well judged and very nice with and without the food ~£10 about 1.5 years ago Should age well for 3-5 years yet Cheers David
