This wine was my favourite of Huber's Pinot Noirs! Such a nice elegance and perfumed flavour structure But it will Need time to develop Very Long...really looking Forward to tasting this 5-6 years from now

Univinum wine fair (@EDEKA Ueltzhöfer, Heilbronn, Germany): *** Short notes and impressions from a wine fair *** Glass: Schott Zwiesel red wine Quite closed, needs lot of time. Astonishingly cool for the warm vintage. Very elegant, lots of herbs and spices, great tension and pressure. Long finish. Great potential. Keep it for 3-5+ years.

Tour VDP.GROSSE LAGE 2018 Vol.3 (Hotel Atlantic, Hamburg): Not as convincing as in September, really reserved showing, a lot of roasty aromas now, a bit surly on the palate, not to call it rustic, wait for some years, better for a decade, (****-?), 91- 92+ potential

Tasted after Schlossberg GG in a line-up of Huber's 2015 Spätburgunder. A bit fresher, less fruit driven with a bit more minerality coming though. Having said that, this is on a relative basis, there was certainly nothing wrong with Schlossberg. Lots of acidity which helps lift the big, concentrated fruit. Very vibrant, smoky, saline and long. This is so good that it's hard to believe that there are two more Huber GGs still to come. 94-95+

Tour VDP Große Lage -Start Berlin- Alternative: an Afternoon in Riesling-Heaven (Capital representative office of german telecom, Berlin): This GG has a more restrained showing than the Bienenberg, more on the mineralic, saline side of Spätburgunder, absolutely delicious, a nearly hidden but lush red fruit, great depth, enormous length with ripe tannin, needs approximately more time than the Bienenberg to show it all, give this at least 5+ years in the bottle, *(***+- ?), 94+ potential
