14.5% alcohol; the winery's Canoe Ridge property overlooks the Columbia River in southeast Washington's famed Horse Heaven Hills AVA; real cork with a maximum wine penetration of 5 mm, medium to heavy weight foil, medium to long legs, dark purple/brown; vinturied and tasted at room temperature (27 degrees C); nose of alcohol, sweet/sour cherries, vanilla, honey, honeysuckle, traces of oranges and cloves; layering is too straightforward, still it's pretty darned good; full bodied, envelops the tongue in waves of stone fruit (especially cherries, peaches), dark berries (boysenberries, blackberries, blueberries), vanilla, and honeysuckle; the long finish is equally spectacular; pair with cheeses, desserts, or drink solo

Dark, rich merlot with fruit, structure and earth. Flashes a touch hot initially, then calms down after an hour to a beautiful, rich integrated wine. This can drink nicely now, but will likely also benefit from some more time. Even Miles from Sideways would like to drink this merlot!

Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, spices, vanilla, tobacco, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth, licorice and herbs.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 8 year old Merlot is peaking now. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Tasty and easy drinking. Will continue to drink nicely in the next couple of years.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
Wine Enthusiasts 89 points.
Rich and fruit forward. Spicy and entertaining.
I had a few vintages before, and it is very consistent.
Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$25.

Mass market merlot. A tad too sweet, just ok.
