Hermitage Blanc Chante-Alouette 2016. Mid golden color. Ripe white Hermitsge, nice notes of light citrus, wax and honey. Smooth and vibrant with a silky touch. Very harmonic !
Cheers !

Clear deep gold; clean medium plus nose of vanilla, honey, macadamia nuts and candied lemon peel; dry; medium plus acidity; high alcohol; full body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with liquored character and addition of pith and ginger; long finish; drink now; fascinating, powerhouse wine; a little hot

Friday Blind Tasting $100+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Quite golden color with green hues; waxy, exotic nose, green papaya, almond, petrol, oily, a little beeswax, pear, phenolic bitterness; Condireu/Hermitage Blanc/Gruner.

2nd of 6, a year on from last. Similar profile: deep gold colour, reticent nose but lustrous mouthfeel.
Wonderful wine, but feels like it is developing quickly - may be one to drink over next few years rather than the very long haul. Slight oxidative note emerging. I liked it - hint of sherry - but given this has been professionally stored hints that this is probably at its best now and next few years.
That oxidative note though could make this a wonderful pairing for rich creamy cheeses - Brie, Camembert.

Clear deep gold; clean medium nose of wax, honey, florality and ripe melon; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus alcohol; full body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of marmalade, pith and creme brûlée; long finish; drink now or in a few years; stunning, contemplative wine; lots of aging potential left but not sure it will get much better
