Burgers and Nebbs (My place, Portland OR): The nose is open and upfront with a darker side to the fruit with tones of plums, dark red cherries, black raspberries, spice notes, licorice, liqueur notes, crushed rocks, violets, and currants. This shows off good depth, but it's not really that elegant or expressive as it shows a more brawny side. The Full bodied feel is robust and the alcohol is a little warm with medium acidity and medium tannins. I don't know how much age will smooth out the rough edges as this is way more on the bigger and hefty side. It's not over ripe or too rich, it just wears the vintage on its chest.

Cherry, savory and a medium bodied earthy finish. Drinking nicely right now.
