Tasted blind. Slightly cloudy, medium (+) purple with ruby hues. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with tart black currant, ripe raspberry, geranium leaf, bell pepper, mushroom, earth, and herbs. The nose is youthful, with no evidence of new oak. The palate is dry, with medium (+) to high acidity, medium to medium (+) tannins, and medium (13%) alcohol. Overall, the body, intensity and length are medium and very nicely balanced. It is drinking well now and is surprisingly youthful, with good aging potential. This is clearly Old World and cool climate. It has too much color and black fruit to be a Pinot Noir or Gamay. The presence of pyrazines points to one of the Bordeaux varietals, but the overall acidity and lack of new oak point to Cabernet Franc from the Loire.

A: Medium purple. Medium (+) viscosity N: Medium (+) intensity. Red currant, cranberry, raspberry, bramble, green bell pepper, wet stone, earth, pomegranate seed and G says he got mushrooms too. Developing. P: Dry, high acidity, medium (+) tannin, medium alcohol, body and intensity and medium (+) finish. C: Can drink now but has potential for aging. Good to very good quality.
MY GUESS: Cab franc from Chinon or Saumur Champions because there isn't sufficient tannin and body to be a Bourgoueil

Very good cab franc with some aging potential at an excellent price. Unique winery. Natural wine so noot gonna age for 10-15 years. Organic and no added sulfates and not filtered so you will get some cloudiness. Very concentrated dark garnet color. Long legs. Nose is traditional cab franc but with lots more aromas. Azalea blooms, Spice, earthy, licorice cigar box and slightly toasted oak. Taste is wonderful leaning to slightly tart with blackberry cassis tart blueberries, blackberries. Very smooth and balanced. Med finish. This should age nicely. Wish I had another bottle. At around 18 Euros it’s a steal.
