  • Deep gold. Incredibly complex, mesmerizing nose with mature aromas of Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. Imagine a cornucopia of honey, tea, roses, apricots, mandarines, spice, petrol, botrytis, edelfirne, and more. The palate is full-bodied, with magnificent flavours, rich mouthfeel, perfectly integrated sweetness, lively acidity, modest alcohol, and a reverberating sea-salty finish. Immaculately balanced, this is a fabulous and truly memorable wine, obviously at its peak. Should cruise for another five, at least.

  • Light amber, slightly reddish. Large bq w honey, yellow ripe apples, touch of grapefruit, petrol, botrytis (?), tea. Full, medium-dry body, good acidity, plenty of sweet fruit (reminiscent of a Riesling Auslese), long, complex aftertaste with salinity (and much drier than the middle). Peaking now. As usual, it's difficult to describe Marcel Deiss' wines- they are so different from mainstream wines (though in their own way, brilliant).

  • Wonderful, complex, balanced Deiss Alsatian blend. Long finish and still tasting young. A hint of sweetness. Perception of acidity on the finish faded as it opened up

  • The color of distilled sunlight in the glass, bright and brilliant yellow.
Heady aromas of tropical stone fruit, petrol, an oxidative note and green apple skins.
Deep and rich, full bodied and oily. Slick and rich. Ripe and warm tropical notes, high acid cuts through everything nicely and provides great grip and balance to the richness and complexity. There is a beautiful mineral finish with petrol overtones. So nice. Drinking well now, with no signs of slowing down. Drink now, and later!
