Slightly muddy colour, as if it's much older than it is. Smells like an old leather boot stepping on a blackberry. The palate, too, seems much older than the wine really is: soft, light-bodied and very savoury, with flavours of red cherry, bay leaf, brown onion, and beef stock. I don't know how a four-year-old wine can taste like it should have been drunk ten years ago. Two bottles were opened, and both received similar comments.
