Dark reddish purple. blackcurrants and a bit smoky on the nose, slight clove and herbal elements. Sweet spice on the palate with mild pepper, not too jammy. medium bodied and very well balanced.

Wine-Ark Cellar Club Tasting 3 - April 2011. Eden Road, Leeuwin Estate and Craig's choice (Roof Terrace Australian Museum): On the nose it starts green and funky but on agitation reveals peppercorn and floral notes with touches of rose (?). In the mouth I get black fruit, aniseed, medium acidity, medium plus tannin and, unfortunately, medium plus alcohol heat that washes over this and gives a slightly belchy acid heat feel.
