Creamy taste and texture with sweet-ish fruit and lemon citrus on the palate. Good texture and mouthfeel but the acidity is on the soft side giving a very slightly flabby impression. It drinks well but is ‘easy’ drinking without the tightness and discipline of many crisper, more elegant Chardonnays. OK with fish in a cream sauce but a bit soft for shellfish. It improved in the glass and developed some slight orange acidity with time. 88+ After 24h cool storage, the wine was softer but had less character. It came over as really pretty ordinary especially for the price.

Light golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of youthful ripe fruit aromas of apples, lemons/limes & some pear with floral overtones of honeysuckle, minerals, stony, a hint of toasty oak & vanilla in the background. Medium-light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of yellow peaches, green apples & citrus notes of lemons/limes with some butterscotch, minerals & a slight touch of toasty oak & vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and may develop further with an additional year or two of additional aging.

Frt from the ff estate Vyds: 45% Rincon, 37% Rosemary’s, 11% Las Ventanas, & 7% Monte Sereno; “Naturally barrel fermented with native yeasts, then aged sur lie 13 mos in FR oak barrels (14% new, 25% 1 yr old);” Bottled Dec 2017;
N: CLOSED; Toast with lemons, poss minerals?
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish OAK/frt firmed by init almost harsh acidity which smooths WAY out as it evolves into a LONG, ULT VERY slightly bitterish finish. Disjointed &/or in a "bad" phase right now? If not, my VG; otherwise I've *quite* downrated it. 92 pts Vinous (Raynolds), 90 ea Jeb Dunnuck, WS, & WE @ $28, and "One Star, Good Value" Connoisseurs' Guide; [This vendor's $19.99 is $2 < anyone else on wine-searcher.]
