Meat marinade nose. Juicy wine with notes of olive and, meat; has that savory thing going on while still expressing fresh dark berries. Refreshing acidity to boot. Good value here.

I'd thought these were all long gone, but found a bottle hiding in the cellar and am very glad I did. This wine is in a perfect spot right now. Always interesting to find a wine at peak at age 6, and pleasantly surprising as so many wines are in an awkward window at about that age. This had perhaps just a whiff of brett but otherwise was very Northern Rhone Syrah in character. It's not a wine that comes at you with intensity, simply a pleasant wine which shows its place. Fruit shading dark red, but it's certainly more about those non-fruit scents as N. Rhone Syrah should be. Quite nice.
Wanted something to go with a steak sandwich made at home after a late soccer game, so I was looking for the right character but nothing too heavy or intense, and this was a perfect choice.

Not the best showing, mainly lilacs and violets, lacking some fruit.

Really, one of the best values in the northern rhone, at the price of an andrew jackson.
Smoky, olivey, black licorice nose with a touch of barnyard and good extraction of dark fruit. If only it were easier to find.
