Was intersted after the first bottle faded to see if this followed suit,, unlikely as it seems it did, there was no place for keeping this for another day as it was as flat as a panckake after six hours, if the last bottle repeats the failure I can put this down to a faulty wine, usually this winery is very reliable.

Drank over home-cooked Cantonese dinner. Light silver gold colour like a new world Sauvignon Blanc. Nose is fresh-peeled lychee. Palate is similar fresh and slightly sweet very light tropical fruit but with an underlying dryness. Very elegant and well made. In the more sugared end of my preferred spectrum but I am very happy to enjoy this and cannot fault it. Super as an aperitif or to complement light Cantonese cuisine.

Beautifully nuanced tropical fruit with some marzipan on the nose. The palate is creamy and stately with some waxy notes creeping in. Finishes with a spicy tangerine peel and a rush of minerality. Gloriously understated.

Open for 2 days, no cork or vacuum, this wine could „breath“ a lot ;)
N. Clear sweetness with almonds, green notes (leaves, green wood...), hints of mineral, cellar (wet, chalk), nice nuances of fruits and spices, complex and wonderfully round T. An astonishing freshness paired with sweetness that makes the wine very elegant. Also there’s a mineral and bitter component in the finish.
Scharzhofberger is a very big name, I tasted a couple of wines from this premium location. This one is possible the most underestimated. With and without food, a paradise for Riesling lovers that are not shying away from some sweetness!
