Orange, flat, signs of oxidation. Upsetting end to my stash of 2015s. Note to self, there is no need to keep the vast majority of Chardonnay for 10 years or more.
Edit - 2016 vintage popped and, yes, the 2015 bottle was definitely flawed.

2015 vintage popped in May 2023. Double decanted and returned to the fridge for an hour. Allowed 30 mins out of fridge before serving. Still too cold, this only really showed its best after 60 mins out of the fridge. Relatively muted note but on the palate lemon acidity evident and unusual herbal flavours (rosemary, sage possibly, verging on the freshness of mint but will need to re-taste on day 2). As the acidity waned toasty elements revealed themselves. Very pleasant package, drink or hold, but I think it lacked the fruit I was expecting from other Zapata wines. Paired nicely with veg lasagne, garlic bread and ottolenghi’s spinach, date and sumac croutons salad. Lovely to try this bucket list wine, which is clearly very good to excellent, but I would I buy 6 out of love? Probably not. Will update if my view changes on day 2.

I had this as the White Stones in my CT, surprise surprise. This wine was drinking magnificent. I put it in the fridge in the morning, opened by 11am and consumed without decanting by 6pm.
Complex, and drinking at its PEAK!

Tasted blind. Minty, chalky, lemony. Really good. A dead ringer for a 1er cru or better White Burgundy. My first time trying this wine.

Seemed too developed and did not improve over the next three days
