Dark raspberry red with a really unpleasant stinky nose, initially reminding me of a public toilet. This blew off later in the evening and more black fruits cam through. Unlike the nose, the palate is fine and fresh with good weight and balance; light clean blackcurrant and a delicate gaminess. After an evening of dense flavour bombs, this is a lovely change.

On the back 40 of life, and dominated by savory notes with just hints of sweetness poking out when you swirl and sip it. A good wine from a good year.
