Much more evolved than expected. Quite disappointing considering the price point (about $250 canadian). People around the table liked it, but no one was impressed or wowed by it. I had $50-60 Barolos that were much more fun to drink. Mostly delivering tertiary aromas, with forrest floor notes, mushrooms and a "rustic" tannic structure. Oh well, you need to suffer once in a while to enjoy the truly great ones:). Personally, I wouldn't wait to long before opening my bottles if you still have some in your cellar.
Really expressive and appealing aromas with very concentrated red berries, crisp roses and light mint. Medium to medium + full and surprisingly fresh wine. Lovely perfumed red berry fruit, lovely salts, licorice and light herbal and tight finish. Very pure and delicate wine with masculine, and yet so soft tannins. Wonderful wine. 94 points.

Quick notes from a public tasting. Reds double decanted about 90 minutes in advance.
good young red and brick color, here the nose is even quieter and more closed than the Brunate- but supremely elegant while showing little detail, light notes of cherry and blackberry with some coaxing, on the palate quite tight and showing very little fruit, but here all the underlying elements are present and dazzling in their layered presentation- cloves, dried herbs, dark spices, rose petals, violets, they are all here and as with the Brunate showing a remarkable intensity and persistence, superb finish with a long and intense after-fragrance, for my personal tastes it gets no better than this, but patience is a must.

This tastes a lot more Nebbiolo than the blind. Smooth, not too ripe. 92-93

Obviously too young. Good potential but needs additional 5 years by my taste at least.
