Decanted for 3 hours before drinking. This was a supremely enjoyable wine, one of the best of tasted - and I have had different vintages of Penfolds Grange. This was a 1993. It still felt like it had a year or two left and was drinking well now, however if you read this and you have a 1993 I would suggest drinking before 2023-2024.

amazing bouquet - deep deep black fruits and just right amount of leather, amazing balance, sweet, tannin, acid, oak, age, dried herbs, poise, some spice - a little like christmas cake, then deeper earthy notes, length for hours - could still taste it at the end of the night

Deep and mysterious aromatics, plum cake and Australian wild flora. Lovely mature shiraz sweetness on an even abs balanced palate- notable lush with some skeletal oak nuance.
Always enjoyed this rare vintage. It’s still loaded with fruit though in gentle decline ( perfect cellar )

Still got fruit & structure. Drinking okay, maybe past its peak but still drinkable but not worth the money.

Lovage notes, no fruit,no rating. I was excited. It was my second HoG and this one a little bit aged
