Pretty dark and ripe fruit - dark cherry, blueberries and plum that is offset by some savory spice, moist soil and a whiff of paint bucket. Dense and rather full bodied for being a dolcetto not sprung out of Dogliani. It has a vibrant structure to go with that dark fruit. A bit of heat comes through on the finish. A dolcetto with serious depth and structure for its modest price tag, at least here in Sweden, that is drinking perfectly fine now.

7 Days in Italy II; 2/17/2019-2/23/2019: Crunchy dark cranberry aromas and really gives way to fresh blueberry fruit. Just 4-6 days on the skins. Finishes ferment after pressed off the skins, as to not extract any bitter elements. With that little savory/sauvage to the finish. Historically Dolcetto would be the simple wine that you drink at home, or get at a trattoria with no label.

Juicy plum, elegant yet pleasing dolcetto, fine dusty tannin on the finish. Really tasting and ready to drink.
