Belated Birthday celebration at ES KL. Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of savoury earth, mushrooms, dried leaves. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), melted tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet dark red cherries, savoury earth, mushrooms. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Seamless aged traditional Burg. Gevrey Chambertin but otherwise unable to identify plot.
Time to drink up.
