Another excellent Hartford Court wine. Bright fresh berry jumps out with a luscious nose. Minimal spice and not overpowering. After a couple hours opened into a rounded full body zin. Very enjoyable and at its prime.

Poured through an aerator and into a decanter, where it sat for 75 minute. Dark reddish purple. Wow. Lots of red and dark fruits and a ton of zin spice. A hint of tea. 100-plus year-old vines from their home vineyard. Big fruit, but plenty of acidity to back it up -- and some fine tannins. Great mouthfeel. 90 minutes in, add a touch of licorice. Two hours in, rose petals. I'd guess this will be best 2020-2024. 92+ points. A classic zin.
You'd know from my tasting notes that I love and buy plenty of zins from Bedrock and Carlisle. But there will always be a spot on my mailing lists and in my cellar for Hartford. A different beast altogether.

Plum, dark cherry, licorice, vanilla on the nose. All fruit and spice on the palate. Cracked pepper on the finish.

Cracked pepper, savory & bright, good tannin, not jammy, acid under control. Would love to see this in 10 years. $60.
