  • Christmas dinner - no formal notes.

Opened for 3 hours then splash decant prior to serving.

Not shut down for us. Aromatic, tart and ripe cherries, spiced, very slightly animal. Squarely medium bodied. Tannic and acidic backbone to go for years. Really nice.

  • This was just fantastic. This was an unplanned open, but I was able to give it 45 minutes of air. Combination of dark red fruits and savory / earth flavors give this excellent balance with little sweetness that I have seen in other '16 Oregon pinots, well-integrated acidity giving freshness, baking spices. Drinking well now except the finish has a strong amount of tannins that suggest this will age for a while to come. There is upside to this. For what this costs, definitely buying more in the future.

  • Thanksgiving Wines; 11/27/2020-11/28/2020 (Pow Mow Hotel Utah): Double Decanted and allowed to rest for 24 Hours. Served in Grassl Cru glass. Served as an aperitif with cheese crackers and shrimp cocktail. The nose was very reticent upon PNP and even after a day decanting. Dusty tannins with hints of brush and subtle herbs on the nose. Unlike the nose, the palate was not shut down. Vibrant tart cherry, cranberry, and some stems adding some herb and complexity. Long finish with fine tannins and great acid throughout. Wine is still super primary with plenty of structure left. Revisit in 5 years. Classic Goodfellow Pinot Noir.

  • Deep red color. Nose has cool red fruits, fresh forest air, a spacious sensation. The flavors burst forward with tart cherry and cranberry leading the way followed by underbrush notes. It is full flavored, but light/medium weight accompanied by a healthy dose of acidity.

  • Similar to prior notes. Clearly more Burgundian in style, fresh and earthy on the nose. Pinot noir, bread and some light spice or cigar box on the nose. Fruit fills out and has a pure, dense feel to it but definitely a lighter and crisp wine on palate. Sort of tart too , but not in a bad way. 92+
