Base 2009. Showed even a touch better than last time with bruised red apples, oak spice, autolytic notes. Medium+ bodied, good freshness, appropriately dry finish with only 1.5g dosage.

Aromatically similar to the 736 rendition (2008) but not quite with its elegance and raciness. Nevertheless, the 737 base 2009 DT version offers a lightly oxidative nose with bruised apples, lots of spices. Distinctively dry finish. Good mid mouth volume. A champagne to go with food.

Blind. Had no idea who this was but more so in a big house style. It's quite dark, surprisingly, which would lead you to believe there's 10 plus years on this bottle. Light oxidation on the nose and palate. It starts out foamy and a dollop of salinity. Lots of apple here, golden yellow and red.

Champagne Bookclub (served blind)--Me (Giana in Dana Point): Served blind, paired with the 736DT for a 2-bottle flight. The bummer was that the 736DT was corked so we just tasted and discussed the 737DT on its own. Little bit of advanced color, and noticeable alongside the 736DT, which was without any darkened tone. Yet, plenty of energy remains in the 737DT, with apple, ginger and some light imprint of red fruit. For my palate, which often pursues and enjoys freshness and youthful wine, the 737DT is about to the point where I would take it. The color is starting to turn and while there is 2008 reserve to back up the 2009 base, I'd wonder how long I would want to age this 2009 if I still had more...probably not too much longer, for my palate.

From magnum; this was delicious; based on the 2009 vintage; this showed the ripe fruit of the vintage and the added richness of the late disgorgement which in combo played quite well together. Maybe not a long ager, but quite tasty now and in magnum this should develop nicely.
