Blind Champagne Tasting--Bring A Bottle That Teaches Us Something: Disgorged April 2019, no dose. Definite aromas of wood here, and what Cris seated next to me said was also smelled a bit reductive. I could see that, too. Lime and grapefruit, lemony, lime skin. Crisp. Lots of citrus influence here.

Served blind. This came off like a classic big house wine with its sharp sulfur reduction and oak on the nose. Big apple note. The palate is very lean and acidic with copious chalk, apples and berry. A nice wine to lay down and let integrate fuller. Lots of people like Champagne just like this from day one though. Promising.

Tart lemon juice, green apple, pear, crushed rocks, wet stone, white pepper. Subtle but present aromas give way to an incredibly intense and expansive palate. Perfectly laser focused, great structure and a minute+ Long finish.
