  • I’m surprised by how light on its feet the 1985 Foreau Clos Naudin Moelleux shows, not as quite sweet as I’d have expected from a moelleux or as complex as I’d have expected from a 37-year-old example. But maybe that’s the issue - is this fully mature? Underscoring great Vouvray’s excruciatingly slow pace of development, today this offers a classic Vouvray combination of fresh, perfectly ripe pluot and savory, cooked button mushroom but the tension and impact in the mouth intimate more to come...
