  • Similiar notes to past bottles. Enjoyed with grilled steaks. Good fruit up front, all the berries and some stewed notes. I had hoped for a better more evolved backside but it’s not there. Enjoyed nonetheless. Notes of tar granite and stainless steel on the back.

  • My second, brought to Barry’s, with dinner with orichetti and spicy sausage. Very similar to my TN 3+ years ago as well as recent TNs. Good to go off the pour, rich, velvety, good length and complexity with excellent prospects of drinking at this level for several years to come. Interesting comparison with a ‘18 Caprili BdM (yep, I like BdMs) which followed, with was more angular, lithe and lifted but more primary, which composition of the wines aside, you’d expect from a 5 years later vintage. I have so many VG+ BdMs from ‘15-‘16 in the $30ish-$50ish range that buying more probably isn’t on the agenda, but for those in that market, this is a really solid choice. 92+

  • Oh boys and girls! This is lovely wine! I would say it's not too complicated. Other then that the wine is perfect! 2013 vintage and color is like a brick already. Some people complain about acidity and tannins. Well, probably they had it too soon. 2022 and wine is ready to drink. Nice, juice, vibrant acidity, soft, but grippy ( in positive way) tannins. Aromas...oh girls...dry fruits, flowers, forest, tabacco, cherry and leather
Flavors... oh boys... sweet cherry, coffee( sweet things), plum, tabacco (again), milk chocolate. Velvety texture Perfect balance with the wine on sweet side of Brunello...

  • Coming along nicely. Lots of fruit up front and on the nose with a good earthy, loamy forest floor taste and feel on the back. Outstanding qpr. Will check back in another year.

  • Dark fruit, cassis, anise with good minerality. Some limestone, and earthy Tuscan soil tastes evolving. I think this wine will get better as the tannins mellow. I’m excited to see how it ages. For the price this was an incredible value.
