Celebrating a friend's 40th birthday in Nashville. Light maize color with a ripe, tropical fruit and stone fruit nose. Round, medium-bodied wine that lacked the minerality I usually associate with a CC. This wine didn't pop and was overshadowed by the other whites wines on the table - 1990 Heidsieck Blanc de Millenaires and a 2012 Robert Mondavi I-Block Sauvignon Blanc.

Burgundy blowout with John Arnold (Chez Bruce, London): Sweet, smudgy nose but better on the palate, quite broad and exotic, with the richness you expect from this appellation, but nothing spine-tingling here.
