  Compared to the 2007, this had a similar level of power but portrayed very differently. The fruit is just as ripe and weighty but more constricted and the citrus shows more of its bitter side, without any of the mineral elements that were so compelling in the '07.

  Not the best PYCM CC I've had but still very good. Out of magnum in Beaune, this showed ripe, deep fruit with just enough acidity. Big but very pure. Well balanced and still young.

  Tasted blind and no one guessed this was an 05 as it showed bright-clean flavors of lime, apple, ripe white fruit, integrated oak, chalky, saline notes. Silky pure texture.
