French red wine from Côte de Beaune: Pinot Noir. 13,5 % alcohol. Destemmed grapes ferment in vats for 3 - 4 weeks. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels (partly new).
Decanted one hour prior of tasting and stored in the decanter during the evening.
Deep strawberry red color.
Powerful, delicate and complex aromas of strawberries, cherries, black currant, tobacco, dried flowers, nutmeg, whip cream, chocolate, cedar and minerals. Powerful, intense and fresh flavors of strawberries, sour cherries, red currant, rowanberries, tobacco, cedar and minerals.
Dry. Medium- body. Fresh acidity. Chewy tannins. Excellent balance. Very good structure. Some complexity. Very elegant. Intense. Powerful. Pure. Airy.
Long finish with red currant and cedar.
A very fine and very enjoyable Pinot Noir. It’s intense, airy, pure, elegant and has an excellent balance. It’s very temperature sensitive and has a sweet spot where it performs at its best. It improves with air. Perfectly enjoyable now, but still on the younger side. Probably need a few more years in the cellar to open up and it will definitely age well in the long term. On the negative side: the structure and concentration could be better. 94/100

Apparence: Rubis clair, translucide. Nez: Framboises, fruits rouges, douces épices. Bouche: Structuré, belle clarté du fruit, la finale se relève au fil du temps. doux et velouté.
Bon, mais pas aussi incroyable que vendu.

More tighter and dense aroma with fresh red fruit, light spices and salts. Charming! Good full bodied wine with pronounced good mouthfeel. Power meets elegance. Dense red berries, clear crisp soil and rocks. Pretty fresh and long finish. Tannins that bite just right. Maybe a little tied up today, but the wine has great potential. 92 points. For now. (92 - 94 points)

And herb / anise thing running through the nose in a charming way. Clean and pure on the palate. Very young, but super interesting all the same. Not sure on price but if it was $50 its a steal, at $100 its pushing it.

Beautiful, but full bore in fruit and spice, a little tight on the palate.
