This needs a looot of time… I wouldn’t open another for 7-10 years minimum.
Was curious about this wine considering I’d picked up bottles on clearance for $90. Highly tannic and highly structured. Nose is quite one-dimensional with some potpourri and slight incense.
Cherry lozenge, wild strawberry and maybe some citrus/orange peel on the palate
This should be really good in time. But a tonne of patience is required. 93 in time but 90-91 for now.

Medium purple in color. Sweet, bright delicate red fruit nose; red flowers. Light in body. Some grippy tannins. Very delicate, but certainly structured. Red-fruit dominant and some light peppery savory quality to it, that I would elaborate on and call a lovely potpourri flavor. Picks up a considerably more tannic quality as I work my way through the half bottle. Needs lots of time to gain body and come together. This is good.

La Paulée de NY Grand Tasting (Pier 60 - NYC): Young, primary and stuffed yet this shows good intensity and length already. Structure is matched by concentrated fruit. Should be a strong vintage for one of my favorite Jadot reds. 92-94+

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Powerful black and red cherry that is dense to start, is tasty throughout, even though it gets a little brooding by the long finish. Very good 91-92 point potential, probably 2030 forward.

La Paulée 2019 Grand Tasting of 2016 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Pretty textbook young Corton-lean, tight, high acid, and tannic. A bit of citrus. One of the few wines today with significant bite and austerity. Quite a shock right after tasting the very friendly Nuits Boudots. This will need ages to unfurl.
