Spot on classic burg from a great year. Still some dark fruit on the nose with some tar, smoke and leather. Well balanced but still has a good five years or more.

Tasted over 3 hrs, bottle from secondary market -nearly semi-translucent dark red mild clearing -perfumed expressive Burg funk -med acidity, med weight sappy mellowed ripe dark fruit with sweet core slight oxidative note and a bit of caramel oak on the persistent and long finish, med/med- tannins -powerful and authoritative, may be a bit over-extracted

This was noticeably better tonight. I had time to decant it for about an hour and that may be the cause of improvement. Great nose but slightly underwhelming on the palate. Overall, a decent red burg for the price. Don't see much upside from here as it seemed to fall off after about four hours in the decanter.

OK, but not special. Some wild strawberry notes to the palate and dark red fruits at the core with a gentle structure.

Ready to go. Typical Maume wine, slightly wild, showing more of the producer style than the terroir but I am not a fan of rustic wines.
