Avalon restaurant (and Oocker) (Amsterdam, NL): [Restaurant purchase] No detailed notes, tasted blind. It stand against the Mugnier Chambolle from the same vintage and it was definitely over-classed by the Mugnier. This was more rustic, more savoury and had more black fruit. Medium finish

Walk around tasting, so just short notes.: In the bouquet and on the palate still reticent. There are some red and dark berries, minerals, good acidity and tannin and an ok length. Cellar it another 3 – 5+ years. 91 – 92+?

Opened about 3hrs before dinner to provide some slow ox - that wasn’t enough. Still rough around the edges, so decided to airate it with a Menu air breather carafe - what a difference. Smooth as sole, blueberries and other light dark fruit and very chambolle. Great balance between fruit and mineral. Very nice, not as early drinking as I thought it would be given vintage. Preferred this over the 2014 Boisset, CM, 1er Cru, Les Charmes which was a bit heavy on the raspberries.

My first real wine from this domaine have tasted Roncevie in 2017 and 2018 loved it.Decanted for 60 min, drunk of Zalto Burgundy, nose was alright nothing special, not the usual seductive Chambolle, taste was ordinary with some tannic attack, not what I thought it would be, clearly far away for my understanding of Chambolle-Musigny.

Medium body. Nose and flavor profile primarily of cranberries that are slightly tart, soft tannins that carry into the finish. Decent not great.
