Pnp: on the nose, fresh cherries, strawberries, a little bit of blood, mocha, chocolate (Gevrey funk). On the tongue, fresh raspberries, griotte cherries, blood, good acidity, silky tannins, long finish. Open for business. Love this producer.

Pop and pour. A little over a year since my last btl. On the nose: cocoa powder, wild strawberry, soft game, smoke. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density, wild strawberry, crystalline purity, cocoa, and a fine dusting of elegant tannin on the juicy and slightly spicy finish. Excellent.

Too young, lacks definition. The stuffing is there but needs time to settle down. Perhaps it is shutting down. Would give it at 2-3 years before trying again. On the nose it is similar to a California pinot. On the palate it is monolithic and acidic. Day 2: it's hard to tell if this is Pinot Noir. If tasted blind, I'd think it's a Rhone blend.

Dark fruit, ripe, lush and earthy, but lacking some energy and freshness. This bottle was more advanced than I was expecting.

Ripe, juicy and more concentrated than expected for a 2017.
