Immensely perfumed nose with ripe, enticing black and red fruit and earth, earth, earth.
On the palate this is positively voluptuous with a bit of oak, a bit of age but still with some beautiful freshness that puts everything in balance that makes this a joy to drink.
Having had the pleasure of drinking a bottle of Geoffroy's 2007 Mazis a month ago--which was amazing--I must say I think this surpasses that. Amazing for $49.

The nose on this is powerful and complex with floral and earthy notes. On the palate this shows leather, a bit of oak, and some age comes through nicely. This really is a solid example of how great a village wine can be with a bit of age, and it leaves me wanting for nothing more.

Ripe berry and resinous, slightly tarry oak, or is it the thick richness of the fruit. Definitely syrupy! Maybe needs a touch more time for the oak to integrate, but full powered village wine.

This is pretty darn killer. Rich, full bodied, right in the pocket with power. Chug-a-able. And that makes for awesome Burgundy. And look at the price tag!

Hmm, a touch of sulfur. And some spritz too. Maybe it will call down.
