Opened four hours before dinner. On opening, it had the wild, sauvage character of Gevrey but the meatiness dissipated by dinner time. The savoury elements turned into a slightly sweet and airy character that made everyone think that they were in Chambolle. Elegant and red-fruited, this will appeal to those who like the ethereal kind of Burgundy from a more classic vintage. Good to go.

As village wine, this bottle does its job. Nice, pleasant, lightly perfumed aroma with crunchy taste, maybe a bit concentrated during the production. A wine can be bought again.

Decanted 30 minutes, tasted over 2 hrs, from 375mL -med dark red nearly opaque -somewhat muted red fruit earth animale spice -barely med acidity, med weight but quite sappy and dense red and black fruits fairly polished with an almost liqueur-like quality though without much complexity, med/med- soft tannins, OK length -Gevrey aromatics, decent if a bit closed down right now, first time with this producer is a draw

Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow"; Pinot Noir worldwide: In the bouquet red berries like strawberries, cherries and some metal impressions. On the palate juicy strawberries and other berries, ok acidity and a lot of sweetness.
