  • This has matured quite nicely. Not overly complex but has good consistency across the palate with a long finish. One hour decant was just right.

  • Went from 92 to 93 after an hour the glass. This wine is in it's early drinking window, with many good years to go. Tannin initially dominant, but it gives way to the fruit with time. Well balanced and refined. long finish

  • Lovely nose and colour
Decanted for an hour but can PnP is keen for a drink!
Dark berries and fruit - deep flavours but has a light and fresh mouth feel - not heavy or austere.

  • decanted one hour. med garnet to deep red perimeter; penetrating & elevated nose of black mineral, black cherry confiture, turned soil; elegant on palate, showing stimulatingly juicy black & crisp red fruits, plenty of grip, balanced & long.

first from the case, this showed really well & better than anticipated.

pork loin in whole grain mustard & crème fraîche; bacon-braised wakefield cabbage w/roasted butternut, thyme, black pepper

  • Part of a great lineup of French wines for a Bastille Day dinner. Beautiful example of Nuits-St-Georges. Deep color for Burgundy/Pinot Noir (typical of Nuits). Relatively big wine (but tasted after some blockbuster Bordeaux, so it didn't seem that big). Racy nose, with black fruit (berries), & a hint of mushrooms & must. Nose slightly better than the palate. Rich & full on the palate, with blackberry & cherry fruit, & hints of minerals & earth. Still young, wish I had held onto this one a few more years.
