I continue to really like this and the other 2018 GGs I've had from Dönnhoff. There is big fruit, but I don't find it out of balance, just larger. This isn't for lovers of laser like, bracing wines. Texturally, it comes off more Alsatian but with Dönnhoff fruit and some sparkly minerals. I think this drinks well now, but I bet it will stretch out and show more mineral structure with some age. Had with Rahsaan.

Milky and liquorice-like. Dry w. volatile (pearly) acidity and slightly creamy mouthfeel w. yellow fruits and vanilla and some fennel. Good length finish. Drink.

I agree with FC1910’s tasting note. I love this wine. I wish I could say that I grabbed this by mistake, but I wanted to taste this mainly out of curiosity and I could not help myself. It was totally enjoyable now but will be more in the future. It is food friendly and paired well with spicy Korean food and pan fried fish.

Beautiful crystalline acid line rich with fruit and a strong petrol mineral funk bass note

Served semi-blind.
Yellow stone fruit, fennel seeds, vanilla. Almost volatile acidity, slightly creamy.
Keep.
