A nose of mint, chocolate and tobacco. It has something sweet and vinous at its core. There's a hint of spruce and earth. It is mid-weight with tannins that have all but folded into the wine. There's a gentle kiss of acidity to the finish. Not particularly deep or long, but very pleasant.

Cork looked fine, albeit mostly soaked through. The wine had lost most all the tannins, and still had some nice fruit. In some ways tasted like a really nice burgundy. Well worth a $30 price for a tasty aged Napa cab.

Some friends pulled this out and we opened it last night. Cork slightly depressed but fill was top shoulder. Poured out to reveal brown liquid that had become vinegar. Yuck.
