Friday, August 05, 2005 My only experience with this wine. No doubt this wine has faded, (bricked on the rim) but it still delivered pleasure. Loads of currant and plum. Cedar kicked in near the finish. Nothing deep or complex. Fair amount of sediment. 93% Cab. Sauv., 4% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot per the back label. Also of interest from the back label: ’all aspects of [the wine’s] production ... are under the supervision of Sterling Vineyards.’ Yet the front label is marked ’Estate Grown & Bottled’ So did they grow the grapes or contract them? Anyone know if Coca-Cola owned them at this time? 12.7% alc. With beef brochette. Gift from Mark and Peg.
