Dinner at D Cuisine (Chicago, IL): Fun to cross paths with this wine again, after tasting it at the Domaine back in February 2020. The warm vintage shows more prominently, and there's a waxiness and oiliness here that has since developed. None too complex, but very much in line with the Moreau style. I would have liked a bit more of an acid kick, or to see this with yet more age.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are slow. It smells like geranium and tar. It tastes like diesel, cedar and oak. The body is medium/full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Canary yellow, starbright; authentic white Burgundy bouquet - buttery, nutty, later delicate floral notes, restrained, mellow; fresh, burst of energy, lovely shape; lots on a driven finish. Yet to peak.

Had it along side some Corton Charlie for lunch and it held up, and maybe was even better than the Charlie.

A bit disappointing from a producer I love. I’ll blame it on the vintage.
