  • Popped, decanted for about 45 minutes, then poured. This tasting note taken about 90 minutes post-first sip.

Visually, wine is kind of a turbid crimson. No obvious signs of age.

On nose, wine is powerfully aromatic. Strawberries, baking spices, with a touch of banana-toluene in the back. Or is that melon? Plus a syrupy thing - almost like reduced cherries.

On palate, wine is sound. Touch of oak at the front, good acid on mid-palate, long finish. Echoes nose.

This is a delicious wine! Really good stuff and astonishing price performance. Next bottle will be consumed next year at the earliest.
