  • The nose on this wine had a distinctly turpentine quality along with that of kerosene. The color was deep golden. The taste was like biting into a crisp grannysmith , tempered with a bit of grapefruit. It had a slight bubbliness to it and had a nice acidic quality to it, giving it a nice long finish full of the aformentioned flavors. This wine was amazing with Cotija cheese from Mexico.

Yet another fine offering from Wiemer.

  • Starting to show some age with a deepening gold color. An intense nose of apricots and terpentine. Medium bodied, high acid, green apples, apricot, and lemon. A long finish that is a bit overwhelmed by a citric acid tone. I would have enjoyed this wine more if the acid was better balanced on the finish. A strong showing none the less.
