Really in the zone, imo. Plenty of fruit, licorice, mint, cocoa, floral notes, and balsa. Enjoyable with a slight chill, which makes it perfect for the season. Present but fine tannins provide added complexity and refreshment. Drink now and over the next several years.

Excellent Langhe! Initially lots of red fruit and roses. Later there’s a touch of oak and some green notes, almost like pyrazines. Elegant, fresh, and relatively light with modest tannins. Will definitely but again!

Excellent, fairly light weight Langhe Nebbiolo that is all about bright red fruit, pretty florals and some earthy spice. Sleek and refined on the palate with fine tannins and sappy acidity. Ready to go right away but will probably gain more earthy complexity with aging.

Taste TOP Wines for July (San Diego Wine Co.): Sourced from a 1.5 ha estate-owned vyd of sandy, clay soils in the Serradenari cru of La Morra ("the highest point in the Barolo zone, with vyds culminating @ 536 m elev," this particular plot being @ 500 m & having a N exposure), vines planted in 2006, 2015; Typically, "Fermentation in s/s tanks for 15 days using natural yeasts, ff'd by 14 mos aging in s/s & 500-L tonneaux;"
N: Toast/earth with notes of tar & iron as well?
p: LM body; Rndish entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which, surprisingly, resolves MORE than I might have thought by the LONG, tangy finish with hints of swtness to the DUSTY tannins. NEEDS through '20, poss '21, then drinking for 4 yrs more. My VG+/EXC-; [This vendor's $24.99 would appear to be VERY competitive.]

Needs some time to show the surprisingly dark fruit bouquet. Tannin is strong but refined.
