I'm always on the lookout for value Chardonnay and this was a revelation to me. Originally created by Eric Solomon for the US market in the Languedoc, this is now produced by the excellent Domaine Lafage in Roussillon as a collab. Light gold in the glass. The nose is quite pronounced with lots of orchard fruits, white peach, vanilla pod and camomile. The palate displays beautiful texture, medium body and nicely defined fruit. There's a touch of minerality and very good acidity through the mouthwatering finish. The restrained oak during elevage leaves a delicate imprint that's just right. Has to be one of the greatest value Chardonnay's in Europe. Drink now.

Good value. Medium- acid, smooth and a little buttery. Would have liked more acid, but a good simple chardonnay.

This vintage is the same as always -- a very drinkable everyday wine...
