  Decanted out of magnum. A hint of brown on the edges. Beautifully developed. Near its peak. A lovely, complex rounded wine that will need to be finished soon.

  3rd time i've had this, wonderful wine. all the fruit of the russian river pinot's, but the 15% syrah gives it a great backbone. drank next to a glass of 2005 william selyem wier vineyard and thought the flowers was far more impressive.... especially at $35 a bottle.

  Tasted at a friend's home. Will need another bottle for a more precise evaluation, but will jot down my impressions. Nose was absolutely wonderful, which I find usually distinguishes a wine from the other rabble. Enjoyed the front and mid-palette, but wasn't necessarily blown away by the finish as I recall. For the $35+ retail price tag this wine seems fairly priced and not necessarily an eyebrow raising deal; so what, it tasted really good. I look forward to trying this again.

  Dark ruby color. Beautiful violet nose. Tastes of strawberry preserves, raspberry and blackberries. Also has a strong cola profile undoubtably sue to the heavy component of Pinot Noir in the blend. Dry earthy finish.

  Interesting wine. My first try of a Pinot/Syrah blend. Decanted for 30 minutes. Wonderful Pinot nose and flavor to start. After about an hour and a half, Syrah flavors took over, and the wine was very different. Still, very good. Next time I would pop and pour.
