It’s a fine line for the winemaker, balancing ripe fruit, extraction, acidity, but the Kistler team always seems to pull it off handily. White peaches, pineapple, mango, all in great balance with mouthwatering acidity. Nice streak of minerality and crushed limestone adds to the complexity. Every now and then I’m in the mood for a big Cali chard and this one always delivers.

Sweeter young Kistler fruit. Meyer Lemon Creme Brulee, coconut spice cookie, graham cracker, a dash of tropical character thrown in. Pretty darn delicious. Great balance here. I'm a fan of Kistler being consumed within 5-7 years post vintage, which is right where we are here (although sometimes you definitely can get surprised by a 12 year old McCrea that comes in fast and hot from left field!). Always enjoy Kistler since it's not really one that I have too much of yet really haven't had a bad experience!

Very nice acidity and less buttery when cooled down in ice bucket. Went very well with seafood salad and vegetable risotto.
