Virtually identical notes to Johnsh in 2019. Deep, dark, and resolved with nice ripe tannins lurking in the background. Fully integrated and tasty. One note = decanted off a fair bit of sediment.

Flower Day - Cork sound - virtually no penetration Sigh.... Corked!!! Just a bit - and I attempted to convince myself it was just ‘rustic’ but it’s not. It’s corked.

Medium ruby with a bit of bricking evident. Mainly ripe redfruits - plums, cherries - on the nose. The same on the medium to full bodied palate, with some nice earthy, herbal and spicy notes as well; there are also some tannins lurking in the background. The healthy acidity cuts through the fruit still. Most Portuguese dry wines I have tried haven't really aged all that well - they age without improving much - but I enjoyed this wine and think it has integrated and aged well (A-).

Clear dark purple in color. Clean nose of dark berries and some spice. Dry, med acidity, smooth easy tannins, med body, black berry, plum, and vanilla on palate. Nice finish. Nice wine really enjoyed.

Opened, poured into a decanter and served right away. Slightly muted on the nose. More pronounced on the palate giving concentrated black and red fruits. Ton of acid and structure. Drink or hold. Very good. 89+
