D+0h: no deposit in the filter nor in the bottle, smells of sour cherry D+3,5h: cherry red colour, on the rim quite ruby red, smells of cherry, blackberry, eucalyptus and smoke, smooth in the mouth, has a little bit of residual sugar, so not completely dry, light body, in the mouth cherry, blackberry and a little bit of smoke, in the aftertaste cherry, acidity and a little bit of smoke, good length (30 sec), this might sound better than it actually tastes, and indeed it tastes quite thin, not that good.

A basic cc, with a bit darker fruit profile than standard. Good acid and balance. A touch of leather. Not for long term aging. Does what you expect. Good QPR for $9 sale price. Would be OK QPR for $15-17/

This was a disappointing wine for me. It may very well have been a good Chianti Classico, but as it was one of the first Chianti’s I have had, I have nothing to judge it against. I could never get it “right” with the pairing, temperature or decanting. Definitely would not purchase this one again.
