  For a Rioja, this is notably bright and clean. Moderate oak notes, aged leather, some dark fruit, but overall presents a fresh and lively profile that’s quite delightful. Some stick tannins are noticeable, but don’t get in the way. This is a nice change to the big, heavily-oaked, smoky style of Reserve or Gran Reserva. For $25, I’m definitely buying more.
